Dead Man's Armor[1] is a type of magic armor created in Castle Avernus at the behest of Azalin. It was forged by his servant Axrock. It is infused with necromantic power.

Powers

The armor is a set of +4 full plate armor. Any person whom touches it while it is worn may be struck dead instantly. (If a person struck dead is resurrected, they must make a Madness Save at a penalty). If the armor's wearer grapples a foe, the Armor may strike the person grappled dead and turn the unfortunate into a cannibal zombie. It reflects back any necromancy spell directed at its bearer back to the spellcaster.

Curse

As a cursed item, it traps the wearer inside. Furthermore, it drains its user of one level per day. If killed by this drain, the user rises as a revenant hellbent on revenge against the armor's next wearer. Premature removal drains Constitution from the bearer and may instantly strike him dead. Finally, the Dead Man's Armor makes its wearer highy vulnerable to attacks from paladins.
