Relationships
Father Lucian Petrovich is the brother of Lydia Petrovna, the brother-in-law of Baron Vargas Vallakovich, and a descendant of Tasha Petrovna.[2] He is assisted by Yeska, an altar boy, and Milivoj, the gravedigger. One of Father Petrovich's nightly regulars is Willemina Rikalova.[1]
Father Petrovich displays a certain meekness or at least nature unwilling for conflict. In The Curse of Strahd, he avoids confront Milijov about the possible theft of the Bones of St. Andral because of the boy's volatile temperament on the one hand, and on the other, Father Petrovich avoids reporting the theft to prevent the disturbance of Baron Vargas' festivals or spreading fear.[3]
In Curse of Strahd
In CoS, Milivoj was hired by Henrik van der Voort to steal the Bones of St. Andral and thus rob the church of its holy protection against the depredations of Strahd's minions. Father Petrovich may ask the player characters to look into the matter.[3]
If Udo Lukovich is free from the the Burgomaster's Mansion, he eventually intends to visit the church and tell Father Petrovich about Vargas' mistreatment, but Udo may be apprehended once again and tortured before he can make it.[4] If Stella Wachter is freed from [[Wachterhaus], she may go to stay with Father Petrovich.[5]
Unless the player characters intervene, Strahd attacks St. Andral's Church and kills Father Petrovich over the course of the module, after which time he rises as a vampire spawn.[6] ,
