Also known as ravenous ghouls, famine spirits are grotesquely corpulent undead monstrosities whose consumption capability can equal that of equal to a hundred humans per day. Though Medium sized, a famine spirit's jaw can unhinge itself to gobble up disproportionately larger targets and is capable of taking off a head of a living creature with a single bite. However, a famine spirit targets food before other living creatures, going after the latter only if interrupted or if no other food presents itself.[1]

After we were successful on our hunt of the Glutton of G'Henna, our first energies were put to cure poor Nikolas’s hand. But alas, no amount of curing could mend what those terrible jaws had done, and Nikolas’s broken hand was completely lost to him. I pity him but I’m sure his inner strength will help him face this challenge.
Then I searched our uncle’s paper on hungry dead. In these notes, I found something ghastly.
