In Hazlani folklore (Or at least the Rashemani folktale of the Legend of the Reaping Angel), said Reaping Angel is described as a "ghostly, blackclad... scythe-bearer"[1] whose presence is said to be a sign to farmers of the Lawgiver's favor. The Reaping Angel comes at night and reaps the farmer's fields and stacks the crops into orderly stacks. But woe be to the person whom interrupts the Angel's work, for it brings disaster upon the farmer. Such was the case for Vosshik, a Hazlani folk hero. The Reaping Angel subsequently put a blight upon Vosshik's crops and killed his family. Vosshik gave chase for the Reaping Angel for many years, slaying many monsters of the night in his wanders, but never finding the creature itself. It is said that Vosshik wanders the Mists even today looking for the creature.[2]
