Imbued with unholy power by vile gods, slaughter wights are much more powerful versions of the standard wights (which are fortunately the only undead slaughter wights ever spawn). Their knowledge of murder and combat lets them make particularly devastating blows, and they may be hired for assassination contracts.[1]

Within the Demiplane of Dread, slaughter wights may be imbued with power by the Dark Powers themselves.[2]

Descriptive Text

"When the Horsemen came..." I said, my mouth dry.

"I came with them," it replied, nodding. "Riding in the stirrup of War itself." It paused to give a long, silent chuckle, rotted shoulders shaking. "Slaughter, slaughter, slaughter, all the sons and daughters, rising moon and falling sun, slaughter 'til the battle's done...I forget the rest. Help me remember."

-private correspondence, G. Weathermay-Foxgrove to Mattias Mikkelson[3]
