Apophis, also known as Apep, is a deity of the Akiri Pantheon. He is a deity of darkness and is known as the eater of the sun. Zordenahkt and Tiyet used the his temple as their secret gathering spot.[1][2]
After the adulterous tryst between Zordenahkt and Tiyet was discovered by Khamose, Tiyet killed herself, begging for Apophis' mercy in the life thereafter, after which Zordenahkt performed the ritual of mummification and binding to the soil of the mortal world. The Temple of Aphosis still holds Tiyet's Heart.[3][4] The temple is guarded by a Manifestation of Apophis.[5]
