Asghar ibn Asghar was a lifelong friend and constant companion of Ferdous al-Jabara. He participated in Ferdous' ill-conceived plan to kidnap Emir Talaal el-Khatib. In fact, Asghar struck the blow which killed the Emir, believing that he served Ferdous when he did so. However, as a consequence of this killing, Ferdous was removed as Sheikh of the House of Jabara and then killed.[1]
Asghar remains in the service of the new sheikh, Ferdous' brother Behrouz al-Jabara. If anything, his guilt now drives him to be even more devoted to Behrouz than he was to Ferdous.[1]
