Atop the Altid Bluffs stand abandoned watchtowers (forventetaarn). According to legend they were constructed by Eternal King Zaanji Højplads to guard against invasion from the south and west. According to other legends, they may be haunted by the ghosts of those soldiers who watched from the towers, vigilant still.[1]
