The odem is a malevolent spirit of an evil humanoid with insufficient strength of mind to become a full-fledged ghost. Odems are primarily spirits of possession, though they also have the ability to drain willpower from their victims. Odems delight in mental torture, both of those they possess and those around them. Odems are known to be encountered in the following domains: Barovia[2], Borca[3], Dementlieu[4],Falkovnia[5], Forlorn[6], Hazlan[7], Keening[8], Mordent[9], Necropolis[10], Sithicus[11], and Tepest[12]. Prior to its dissolution, odems could be encountered in Daglan.[13]
