Serena and her twin sister Jamillica are members of adventuring band known as The Hand. She and her fellows assisted Dr. Rudolph van Richten in the destruction of the Gibbering Golem in the asylum of Devering prior to the appearance of Van Richten's Guide to the Created in 739 BC. Van Richten described Serena and her sister as "priestly twins". Her level is suggested as being at least 13th by the casting of a regeneration spell offensively against the dread golem, a tactic that is not viable under 3.5ed rules as flesh golems are not living targets and are immune to spells subject to spell resistance.
