Heucuvas are the cursed spirits of the damned who betrayed their faiths or failed to uphold their holy vows. The claws of a heucuva carry a nasty disease. Although these skeletal undead are barely intelligent, their ability to shroud themselves in illusions to make them seem alive makes them much more dangerous than they would otherwise be. [1]
According to Van Richten's Guide to the Walking Dead (Item), heucuvas belong the Restless Dead subset of the Walking Dead.[2]
Encounter Heucuvas
Heucuva can be encountered in Sithicus[3]. Prior to its dissolution, heucuvas could be encountered in Daglan.[4] As undead, they may also be encountered in Barovia[5][6], Darkon[7][8], Har'Akir[9][10], Mordent[11][12], Sanguinia[13], Sithicus[14][15], and Valachan[16][17]. As a type of undead that does not feed, heucuvas may be encountered in Keening.[18][19]. Heucuva can be encounted in the Shadow Rift (specifically the Darkenheights as part of the saugh.[20]
