Sir Marcus Malvoy is a Ghost that currently haunts Skansorro in Hazlan.[1]
Malvoy is an outlander, originally from Cerilia, where he and a team of brave heroes took chase after a horrible monster. They followed it down into a deep, dark cave, where they found their end instead. Sir Marcus Malvoy betrayed an allied paladin to save his own life and too flight. The paladin cursed the cowardly Malvoy as he died. Malvoy did not escape for long, for, despite Malvoy's pleas for mercy, the monster ended his life as well.[2]
In Ravenloft, Malvoy lingers on as a cursed ghost, manipulating and haunting heroes into quests of greater and greater honor and glory (and perhaps, foolishness). However, because of his cowardice, he usually betrays those he would seek to inspire.[3]
