Prince Valry Rivtoff was a Nova Vaasan nobleman who jealously coveted the Sword of Kolmy Szestelyn. After Kolmy Szestelyn refused Rivtoff's offers of purchasing the weapon, Prince Rivtoff had Szestelyn murdered and stole it for himself. Szestelyn cursed the blade to become haunted with his geist, 
which may have been why Rivtoff gave it away to a Darkonian noble only a year after Rivtoff acquired it.[1]
