Baron Gustav the Younger is the Baron of Gustavstan, but his conflict with the ghost of Baron Gustav the Elder is leaving him unaware of how much his grasp over the domain of Gustavstan is slipping. See Gustav Baronial Family for a brief overview of his backstory or the article on Gustavstan in the Undead Sea Scrolls 2001 (p.82-87) for full details.
The Dark Powers have gifted Gustav the Younger with a higher combat prowess than he naturally would have. In addition, he has the power to cause despair or sadness However, he is haunted by the geists of Klaus and Ingrid.[1]
Contradiction
The article on Gustavstan states that Ingrid survived the attack, but Gustav the Younger is still haunted by the geists of his mother.
This may mean that the geists are simply manifestations of The Dark Powers. Alternatively, Ingrid may be able to somehow project her grief and madness to create a "living" geist.
