The werewolf, Baron Bakholis was the original darklord of Invidia. Before Invidia was drawn into the Mists, Bakholis was a cruel tyrant who brutally crushed any word of opposition, levied backbreaking taxes, regularly kidnapped young women for his own cruel and perverse amusement, and generally ruled through the inspiration of fear and horror. Like his ancestor, Duke Treholan, Bakholis came to dominate Invidia in 603 BC[1],
That same year, Bakkholis becomes infatuated with Marta (Victim of Bakholis), a young woman in love Karlus. For their refusal of Bahkolis' wishes, he haf Karlus maimed and eaten in front of Marta's eyes as several of his soldiers violated her her. Before he kille her, she curse him. His curse caused him to become a werewolf. The Mists claimed Bahkolis and Invidia along with him.[2]
At the next full moon after Invida entered Ravenloft, Bakholis transformed and went on a rampage around the castle. His family are among the casualties. Initially shocked and horrified when he awoke the next day, Bakholis reacted by making his rule even more cruel.[2] In 729 BC, the Mists brought Gabrielle Aderre to Invidia, where she was captured by Bakholis like many young women before her. This proved to be his downfall, as Gabrielle's evil eye allowed her to over come and kill him. Thus, she became both darklord and ruler of his former realm.[3]
Bakholis formerly lived in Castle Loupet, the castle built by his ancestor.[1]
