Although appearing as parts of a black pudding, zharakim actually originate from the [{Negative Material Plane]]. They were summoned to the Land of Mists by Azalin Rex for an experiment. Although a zharakim has no ability to make decisions for itself, it can be grafted to a freshly slain corpse and given very simple instructions as those of a construct.[1]
Note that zharakim were never updated to 3rd Edition. Hence all creature types below are speculative.
