Giant ant lions are massive versions of the common ant lion, large enough to trap and eat humans that stumble upon their pit-traps. Giant ant lions can be encountered in the domain of Har'Akir.^[1]

The listings of Ant lion in the Har'Akir table in the 2nd edition Realm of Terror and Ravenloft Campaign Setting boxed sets^[2]^[3] are probably intended to refer to giant ant lions.

As giant insects, giant ant lions also can be encountered in the domain of G'Henna^[4]^[5], Souragne^[6], and Sri Raji^[6]
