Mason is the Lord Speaker of Har-Thelen, a city within the domain Sithicus. He is more active, more optimistic, and also more pushy than most of his Sithican kindred. He is pushing (some might say even squeezing) the artisans of his town to create commodities for trade with Kartakass and to renovate the city. Of course, this might be drawing the attention of Azrael Dak.[1]
Mason told Dr. van Richten the story of The Ogress Lurrhein on the origins of the hags.[2]
Mason appears to have a friendly working relationship with the rulers of Hazlan. Mason employs a rotating cast of four wizards from the Red Academy as mercenary bodyguards to protect him from Azrael Dak's thugs.[3] He maintains a professional correspondence with Eleni of Toyalis (and perhaps. through her, Mulger D'Ajust)[4]
