At the behest of King Oderic, his unnamed mistress captured the soul of Marquis Stezen d'Polarno in a painting using an evil variant of the Trap the Soul spell. The soul transference did not take away his life, but his zestful spirit and grandstanding charisma. Stezen poisoned her, along with the rest of King Oderic's household, as revenge.[1]
