The Kartakan community of Chebney was haunted by a "phantom beast" (as described by Thordin that had a poisonous breath. The spirit stole the voice of the meistersinger. Thordin and Blaine Clairn investigated the mystery of the ghost and discovered it appeared after the meistersinger poisoned his predecessor. The spirit was laid to rest when the meistersinger made a public admission of guilt.[1]
