A terrible curse afflicted the Darkonian family known as the the Undrals, whom formerly resided in the House on Undral Hill overlooking the hamlet of Talanka. After the the children of Alara Undral, the last survivor of the family, disappeared, she begged everyone in town for help in finding them. However, she was universally refused, for they feared it was the work of the Fey. Alara too disappeared, but she returned a year later as a vengeful spirit that demanded the sacrifice of a child to the house twice per year, one on the fall equinox and the spring equinox. Such is the curse Talanka has suffered under for 15 years.[1]
