As described in Dance of the Dead (Novel), a Bocoru is a Souragnien shaman or priest. Each community in Souragne has one, or had one at one time. Bocoru have an affinity with the swamp and act as spiritual guides for people of their communities.[1]
It may be that the Voodan class presented in the third edition of the Dungeons and Dragons game is meant to represent the Bocoru.
