Mentioned in Expedition to Castle Ravenloft, a trilloch[1] is a chaotic outsider from the Negative Energy Plane that feeds on negative emotions and life energy. Naturally incorporeal and invisible, a trilloch may follow creatures and feed off them like a parasite. It can use a power to induce and control rage, and it also has a Death Knell special ability to feed upon dying creatures.
If a creature uses magic to see past its invisibility, a trilloch appears as a blend of a fungus and an invertebrate something resembling a crustacean with feathers. It's about 3 ft. long.
