Mad Mary is an NPC from the 1st Edition module Ravenloft I6 and its later edition reboots. Se is resident of the Village of Barovia and the mother of Gertruda. She is consumed with grief and sadness over her daughter's running away and fear over her safety. She is right to be afraid, for Gertruda is held captive by Strahd[1][2][3]

According to Domains of Dread, the module I6 takes place in year 528 BC.[4] Thus, Bildrath is likely to be deceased in the modern Ravenloft timeline.

In Curse of Strahd

In this module, Gertruda is held in K42 of Castle Ravenloft[5] Mad Mary clutches a doll created by Gadof Blinsky.[6]
