Crimson Bones are skeletal undead, constantly dripping poisonous blood that splashes on nearby opponents when crimson bones are hit in combat. The bite of a Crimson Bones inflicts Burning Blood, a nasty supernatural disease. Crimson Bones rise spontaneously from victims flayed on sacrificial altars. Crimson bones are immune to most of the clerical means of undead control. However, sithkin changelings or arcane spellcasters (via the Command Undead spell) can get control of these undead.[1] Crimson Bones are created by the evil Arak races.[2]
Crimson Bones can be encountered in the following domains: Darkon[3], Keening[4]
Crimson Bones are classified as Restless Dead, for their constant Craving to kill locks them in this eternal obsession.[5]

As Harespex cleaved the second blood-drenched skeleton's head from its shoulders, a fine spray of red droplets coated his hands and arms. The thing fell, but even as it did so Harespex dropped his sword, turning frightened eyes toward me. "The blood," he whispered. "It's burning me, Mac Laren."
