The Rot is a powerful and fast-acting plague that seems to afflict certain parts of the body but not others. It acts as a Staff of Withering, aging whatever body it infects a decade per day untreated. It ravaged the unnamed city that Dr. Cyrus Vannen resides in, dropping its population to that of a town. Today it has subsided somewhat, but it is still spread by one in 10 of the undead swarming about the mass graves of the city (zombie and crawling claw primarily) as well as the Aggregate dread flesh golem.[1]
