Evard's Five (later Edvard's Four) was a small band of adventurers formerly led by Edvard the paladin. After Dargon was slain in Verbrek, Karla joined the group. The wizard Janos had a falling out with the rest of the group and tried to take Karla with him to form a new adventurer's band. She declined, so Janos created the Living Armor, a beholder like dread flesh golem in order to demonstrate his own independence. However, it went on a wild killing rampage. Edvard's Four were all slain save for Karla, whom escaped.[1]
