Hailing from the [[Moonsea] region of Faerun near Phlann, Esselios is an unusually intelligent raven that can readily speak human language. His was the former familiar for wizard, but his master was murdered by orcs. Esselios swore an oath to himself to prevent orcs from hurting any other peopel.[1] Although biased against them, Esselios has become knowledgeable about them. He is also highly knowledgeable about the Rookscrag environs.[2]
Esselios may, for a time, have been whisked away with some adventurers to Barovia.
