Ruled over by the warmongering false deity known as Ares, Nikopolis (pop. 2,500) is a city state and large town in the western part of Olympus. Unlike the other city states, Nikopolis often attempts invasions against the realms of other Living Gods as Ares commands the military (though not the various militias local to the other realms) of the domain. Nikopolis' forces are always resisted thanks to the skill of each city to handle Nikopolis in the ways most favorable to the invaded city state. Nikopolis has the highest proportion of dwarves relative to the general population of the city states. This is a result of Ares wholeheartedly supporting the mining of ore.[1]
