Slave-concubines are not simply slaves. They are not raped once and discarded. Rather they are retained for a time, usually afforded at least somewhat better conditions and possibly vastly better conditions than their fellow slaves. This is in exchange for their submission and their compliance. The degree of submission and compliance expected depends upon the appetites of the master.
