The child of Dementlieuese expatriates, Vedarrek is a rarity among Talons. Vedarrek has learned to negotiate the soldier's battlefield or the gossip's salon with equal skill, and adds to this a considerable talent as a wizard. His choice of vocation has earned him the scorn of his fellow warriors, but his critics have had to speak behind his back, lest he overhear and demonstrate the power of mind over body.
