The Mill Road joins Chateaufaux in Dementlieu and Mordentshire in Mordentshire. Within Dementlieu, the road is paved and well maintained, with stretches of the route, particularly in the vicinity of communities, being lined with trees, principally birch and plane. Within Mordentshire, the road is an unassuming and rough mixture of mud and stone, traversing the impassable marshes and bogs of the Great Moor north of Mordentshire, before entering the silent, evergreen Forest of the Ancients, and eventually reaching the tiny hamlet of Hope's End on the frontier.
