Defilement is the act of removing the sacred or holy blessings put upon a person, place, or thing. Forcing access into a sealed burial ground, putrefying holy water, or stripping a person of their Innocence would exemplify acts of defilement. Desecrators take corruption a step forward and actually cause formerly holy objects and beings to become unclean and offensive in the face of their gods.[1]
