Slavery is work of one party, the slave, for the other, the master, in the absence of choice, agreement, pay, trade, exchange, reciprocity, solidarity, fraternity, and morality. It is a form of economy that is exploitative. It is sustained by oppression and the state. It is justified by racism, political theory, philosophy, and theology. It is a form of rule and a type of regime.
