Sobek is the evil, crocodile-headed god of water of ancient Har'Akir. Efforts to revive his worship and to beseech his direct intervention in the form of rain to restore fertility to the land were led by the laymen and run away slave Khasek. Six cultists seized victims from Muhar and sacrificed them to the god. The spilled blood did not bring rain, but it did stir to consciousness Hotep, the mummified high priestess of Sokeb, whom Anhktepot had forced into perpetual slumber. Dr. Rudolph van Richten and a group of fellow adventurers intervened to set matters aright.
