The Barons of Darkon are 22 in number. Il Aluk (at least formerly), Martira Bay, and Nartok are each ruled by barons. Individuals are raised to the office and deposed from it as Azalin Rex sees fit. He is intolerant of corruption among his barons, going so far as to reward whistle-blowers. Baronical Law (Darkon) is promulgated by each of the barons.
