The Barons of Darkon are 22 in number. Il Aluk (at least formerly), Martira Bay, and Nartok are each ruled by a baron. Individuals are raised to the office and deposed from it as Azalin Rex sees fit. He is intolerant of corruption among his barons, going so far as to reward whistle-blowers. Baronical Law (Darkon) is promulgated by each of the barons.
