Victor Wachter was nobly born in Prime Material Barovia in 310 BC. He was a trained soldier and married Oleka Dilisnya who was the sister of Gertrude Dilisnya and Reinhold Dilisnya and the half-sister of Leo Dilisnya. Oleka bore him four children, including Lovina Wachter in 342 BC. Victor his wife and children attended the wedding of Sergei von Zarovich in 351 BC. Leo orchestrated a massacre to wipe out the Von Zarovches. Reinhold, Gertrude, her husband, Oleka, and three of her children died in Castle Ravenloft, their blood on Leo's hands. Victor and Lovina survived. Victor fought for the lives of his family and for that of his lord Count Strahd von Zarovich who also survived, after a fashion. Victor was rewarded for his loyalty by being made a boyar and perhaps also being granted land in the immediate vicinity of the Krezk Pass. He spent the remainder of his life searching for Leo Dilisnya and, without finding him, died in 372 BC. Victor's descendants have continued, right up to the present day, to loyally serve the Count of Barovia.
