Victor Wachter was nobly born in Prime Material Barovia in 310 BC. He was an experienced soldier. He married Oleka Dilisnya who was the sister of Gertrude Dilisnya and Reinhold Dilisnya and the half-sister of Leo Dilisnya. Oleka bore him four children, including Lovina Wachter in 342 BC. Lord Victor his wife and children attended the doomed wedding of Sergei von Zarovich in 351 BC where Leo orchestrated a massacre to wipe out the Von Zarovches. His brother inlaw Reinhold, his sister in law Gertrude, his wife wife Oleka, and three of thier children were among the many who died in Castle Ravenloft, their blood on Leo's hands. Victor and his daughter Lovina were among the very few who survived. Victor had fought for the lives of his family and for that of his lord Count Strahd von Zarovich who also survived ... after a fashion. Lord Victor was rewarded for his loyalty by being made a boyar of the region in the vicinity of the Krezk Pass. He spent the remainder of his life searching for Leo Dilisnya and, without finding him, died in 372 BC, survived by his daughter Lovina. Victor's descendants have continued, right up to the present day, to loyally serve the Count of Barovia.
