An Undead Treant is the undead form of a Evil Treant. It is considered a species of Dread Plant. How an Evil Treant transforms into such a state is currently unknown, but it is speculated that it is a reward by the powers that control Ravenloft.
The appearance of an Undead Treant is that of a dead or leafless winter tree. Like a humanoid vampire, Undead Treants subsist on the blood of sentient creatures. They congregate with their Evil Treant brethren, usually regarded as a leader. They can cast some druid spells, and cannot be turned by priests or paladins.
