Vlad Tepes has had three notable defeats in recent years, though always at a high cost in blood. Two were at the hands of The Watchers, once in his native land of Transylvania in his first encounter with the quabal and another in England when he struck back at them.ref>A Guide to Gothic Earth p. 116, Masque of the Red Death and Other Tales.</ref> More recently, he was defeated in San Fransisco where he was trying to form a new quabal under his leadership.</ref>[3]
