The Zanango Society is a small secret society in Souragne. They exist to enforce the will of Anton Misroi and maintain the order that the official authorities in Port d'Elhour cannot, but the Society also engages in various illicit activities such as smuggling, assassination, and extortion.. Besides striking at transgressors against Misroi's laws such as practitioners of taboo magic, the Society makes sure the wealthy plantation families do not step beyond the will of Misroi. Punishments are usually brutal and can be worse than death, including undead enslavement after death.[1]
The Zanango Society was founded by Phillipe Zanango and is named after him.[1]
