The Patchwork Bride is a dread flesh golem created by as a reborn Elise_Von_Brandthofen-Mordenheim for Dr. Victor Mordenheim. The Patchwork Bride is powered by Gerhard Beckmann's then obsession to create a "new" Elise for his struggling mentor (and thus be socially accepted by Dr. Mordenheim). Unfortunately, Dr. Mordenheim became direly offended and cast both Beckmann and the Patchwork Bride out of Schloss Mordenheim. Beckmann fled, abandoning his creation.[1]

The Bride had an existence on her own for a time, during which her intelligence increased significantly. She may have encountered Adam's Children and studied with them for a time. Regardless, she came to know the reasons for her rejections. Henceforth, she tracked Beckmann down and has wandered with him, demanding he keep remaking her face to resemble Elise better. Beckmann did too well a job indoctrinating an identity into her. The Bride is delusional enough to believe she truly is Elise; if her face is remodeled well enough, Victor will take her back.[2]
