Hulking corpses are hulking and mindless humanoid-shaped undead engines of destruction using nothing but their own claws and bite. Often on their own found running amok with the drive for destruction, hulking corpses become surprisingly dedicated to masters with enough power to control them.[1] 
It is for this reason that hulking corpses probably qualify as the Obedient Dead subset of the Walking Dead.
