A grimor has the appearance of a tiny gargoyle-like creature. The grimor creation of Duke Gundar as a weapon against arcane spellcasters. It is unknown how he accomplished this, as Gundar has never been described as any kind of arcane loremaster. Perhaps it was his son Medraut Gundar who developed them under the duke's orders. The grimor is able to absorb magic and fire it back in energy bolts. Though their abilities make them anathema to hostile mages, an immature grimor is dependent upon the blood of a wizard it serves as a familiar for.^[1] Note that the grimor was never updated to 3.x Edition, so the creature types assigned below are speculative.
