Former baron of Nartok, Eduard Curwen died during the March of Doom. He had conspired with Falkovnian invaders to remain in power once the invasion was over. However, as the invaders were pushed out once more by the rising undead, Eduard was dispatched by his then subordinate Captain Burkhart Volker, whom assumed the title of baron once Curwen was deceased.[1]
