The Jampala, the Prime Master, is both the temporal leader and spiritual leader of Dorjiloka. As a recognized satwa, the Jampala must be compassionate in ruling the land. The position is for life, after which a search for potential reincarnations for the Jampala are searched for. Reincarnations usually take the form of young children who remember little to nothing of previous existences.[1]
