Arik Dyilf is the son of Kerad Dyilf and Malra Mytil, but was abandoned and left to an orphanage in Dementlieu by his mother due to her vampiric transformation. Dyilf grew up to be a thief and criminal, with little capability for emotion other than anger. Dyilf was eventually scared out of Dementlieu by Dominic D'Honaire, and he fled to Mordentshire for a time before drifting to Hibernate. There he forged a criminal empire (or rather, stole it from another rogue he murdered.) He ultimately seeks to find his parents, but he is being manipulated by Elizabeth Michelle Cole III.[1]
