Jean, a former resident of Port-a-Lucine, was the fiance of Marie Delacourte and employee of Marcel Delacourte, her father. Jean supervised the mill Jean owned. Secretly, Jean was Marcel's necromancer apprentice and helped in the mass murder and reanimation of Marcel's child workers. Jean was murdered by Nikolai Melentha for conspiring with Marcel against Marie.[1]
