Awilda is a Vistani and the mother of Eliza. After Mayor Felix Hoyer kidnapped Eliza, Awilda led a band of Vistani to free her. However, Awilda went mad after finding out her daughter had already been killed and reanimated as a vampire. Not able to bring herself to destroying her daughter, she let Eliza go.[1]
For his actions, Awilda invoked Dark Powers to lay a curse of doom upon Hoyer.[2] Awilda's revenge did come to pass, but it came at the price of her life[3] and perhaps her mortal soul.[2]
Unlike the majority of her people, Awilda forsook the wandering lifestyle to enact her revenge.[1]
Thus, it was likely she became a mortu.
